Hot tub water gets dirty every time it's used. However, there are chemicals you can add to the water, bromine or chlorine, that can get rid of germs and leave the hot tub sanitary and ready for bathers. Unfortunately, that will only take you so far. Once it has been used a good number of times, the water will have to be changed out, as adding more chemicals stops being useful.
Everyone loves a nice, warm soak in a hot tub, but some people put off getting one of their own because they aren’t sure how much maintenance they require and whether that maintenance would be difficult. There are definitely steps to take to keep your hot tub running smoothly, but they are easy enough for most owners to perform. It’s all about getting into the habit of maintaining your hot tub.
